Yahoo inc. known as Yahoo, styled as YAHOO! is an American multinational technology company headquartered in Sunnyvale, California. It is a web network globally know for it’s web portal, like google it has an E-mailing system called yahoo mail, has a search engine and related services, including Yahoo! Directory, Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! News, Yahoo! Finance, Yahoo! Groups, Yahoo! Answers, advertising, online mapping, video sharing, fantasy sports, and its social media website.
Yahoo! is the highest-read news and media website, with over 7 billion views per month, being the fourth most visited website globally, as of June 2015.According to news sources, roughly 700 million people visit Yahoo websites every month. Yahoo itself claims it attracts “more than half a billion consumers every month in more than 30 languages”.
In January 2015 the company announced it planned to sell the company off to the Alibaba Group in a separately listed company but in December 2015 yahoo turned down the agreement and decided to spin off their internet business as a separate company even though the original decision was to keep the company but after months of speculation about the internet company’s future the telecommunication’s company Verizon communications Inc. bought the yahoo company.

In 2012 Yahoo signed up Ms.Mayer who was expected to take the company to reaching high heights of success however it did not turn out as expected Ms.Mayer kept changing her strategies which resulted in many employees leaving the company and millions of dollars were invested but were not recovered. The 41 year old made yahoo invest in many places, Yahoo spent 2$ billion on acquiring 50 start ups and hundreds of millions more on forays into mobile software, online video and search. But the revenue was never recovered in fact yahoo went in a 19% loss in the deal.
Verizon Communications Inc Buys YAHOO!
Recently on 25 of July Verizon announced that they bought Yahoo for 4.8$ billion in the recent past Verizon had been reaching high levels of profit last year in 2015 they bought AOL for 4.4$ billion, Verizon does not plan to stick with only selling phones and wireless communication service it wants to spread it’s business. “By acquiring Yahoo, we are scaling up to be a major competitor in mobile media,” said Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam.
Ms.Mayer Will Keep Working For Yahoo!
On the recent interview Ms.Mayer said for Verizon to get along with the company she we’ll keep working for the Yahoo company for the next 6 to 9 months however it is expected that she might be kept the CEO of the company.[AdSense-B]

Verizon due to their recent records of buying world famous multi national companies are expected to look forward to buying Google and Facebook, It is expected that the Yahoo deal will be finished by the start of 2017 there are rumors if this deal brings profit which it’s not expected to still though if the deal brings profit Verizon is expected to soon looking forward to buying the biggest web network and the company with the highest net worth in the world with around 229.8$ billion Google.
