Government Imposed Taxes on Mobile & 3G 4G Internet Industry

Government of Pakistan is increasing sales tax with its latest budget 2015-16 at mobile phones, As well as 19.5% tex on Internet usage of 3G & 4G, Which may result of 200 billion loss at the economy of Pakistan.
In our last post, we’ve mentioned that’ There were just 3.4 million users in April,2014 at the time of auction for 3G & 4G licenses, But after one year, now we’ve 13 million 3G & 4G users in Pakistan, Which can increase day by day.

Plum ki ek research “Economic & Social Benefits of 3G & 4G in Pakistan” k mutabiq’ 3G or 4G license k auction k bad ek saal me subscribe karny waly user se Pakistan ki economy ko 40 billion ka benefit howa hai, Jis ka matlab ye hai k next five years me ye benefit 1,000 billion tk ho sakta hai.
Lekin Government k budget me internet par tax add karny k bad, Estimated idea ye hai k 20 se 25% tk broadband users decrease ho jaen ge, Jis ki waja se broadband companies k packages costly ho jaen ge. Is k ilawa, Mobile phone companies ki taraf se technology sector me investment me bhi kami ho jae gi.
Overall, Is tax se Pakistan ki government ko to “Benefit” mil jae ga, Lekin national economy ko 200 billion tk loss ho jae ga.
Beside of’ Bohut se e-education, e-banking, e-commerce, e-health, e-farming or isi tarha k other online development projects start hi nai hon ge, Ya jo start han wo complete karny ki bjae rok diye jaen ge, Jis se un-employment me increment ho ga.
Aap khud sochen, Agar aap ko PTCL connection k 1500 per month pay karna parhy or speed 2mb bhi na ho to kia karen ge?

Pakistan ki 50% population PTCL evo or 3G or 4G ki new devices par internet usage k liye tax pay nai kar sakti, Kyun k 2MB se above or 1500 per month se zyada bill waly internet connection par tax apply ho raha hai, Jis ka implement 29th May, 2015 se kia ja chuka hai.
Point to be noted k KPK or Sindh government already ye tax internet usage par apply kar chuki hai, Lekin wahan tax ek hi bar internet industry se receive kar lia jata hai, Separately mobile connection par data k mutabiq tax nai lia jata.
