What Is A Proxy Server?

In computer networks, a proxy server is a server (a computer system or an application) that acts as; an intermediary for requests from clients seeking resources from other servers. In easy words then proxy server is like a communicator for the users to the open network to share and get data and information through the World Wide Web.

So I am going to tell you today about IP addresses and How to change them.

What Is An IP Address?

An Internet Protocol address (IP address) is a numerical label assigned to each device, it is a unique number every device on the internet has. IP address is used as a gate way into the Proxy server there is no device that has access to the internet but does not have an IP. They are also used to take out information related to your device and sometimes also to take out information related to the user. IP can also be changed.

IP Versions!

Many versions of the internet protocol (IP) had been released but only two of them are currently in use. In 1979 IPV5 a prototype was released but it was never called IPV5.

The two versions in use are:

IPV4(Internet Protocol Version 4)
IPV6(Internet Protocol Version 6)

IPV4..

Internet Protocol Version 4 or in short (IPV4) consists of 32bit which limits it to around 420 million unique addresses and since IPv4 had reserve IP addresses such as 18million for private networks and 270 million IP addresses for multi task purposes. So the left over IP addresses were falling short because according to the studies there are of 1 billion people using the internet now.

IPV6..

Internet Protocol Version 6 or in short (IPV6) consist of 128 bits there are more IP addresses in the IPV6 then you can write in anyway they are more like you could say infinite in the real world. This protocol version not only had more IP addresses it had better security with a redesigned protocol system.

What Changing IP Addresses does?

IP Address can be changed to protect your information or to access sites that have been blocked in your country like I am from Pakistan and between the years of 2011 to 2013 YouTube was banned in Pakistan and the only way to access YouTube was to change your IP address.[AdSense-B]

Basically IP addresses have information like your country name and other information so what changing your IP does then is by changing that unique address is change your information and country name and address.

How To Change IP Address?

There are different software’s that have many IP addresses they switch your IP by accessing your computer information.

There are many IP changing software’s they are called VPN or Virtual Private Network, like:

IP vanish
Hotspot shield
Zenmate
PIA (Private Internet Access)

There are probably a hundred more VPN like these but these are the most highly rated with the best feed backs.

They change your IP and let you access websites that are blocked in your country or help you hide your information.
